As part of the National Sanctity of Human Life Day on January 15, Most Reverend Joseph Hanefeldt, Bishop of the Diocese of Grand Island, celebrated Mass on January 14 to pray for the protection and dignity of human life from conception to natural death. The Prince of Peace parish youth participated as altar servers, lector, cantor, and musicians. At the Mass, Bishop provided a blessing to the pilgrims traveling to Washington DC who will participate in the National March for Life on January 20. After Mass, pizza and desserts were served and speakers Lily Wheeler and Reagan Lowe shared their experience when they attended the March for Life last year. Twenty students and eight adults from the Diocese of Grand Island will travel by bus departing from Grand Island on January 17 and returning January 22.
