DCCW Biennial Convention held in North Platte

The 56th DCCW (Diocesan Council of Catholic Women) Biennial Convention was held on September 9-10 at Holy Spirit Church in North Platte.
The theme for the convention was "Love in Action". It began with a presentation by Sandhills native, Monica Kramer, on a book she has written entitled, "Not all who wander are lost", a book about salvation and the gates to heaven.
The ladies also heard from guest speaker Lee Elliott, MS, Executive Director of the Wonderful Life Project, LLC.
Fr. Stephen Deaver was honored for his 33 years of service to DCCW and Fr. Thomas Vijumon was installed as the new DCCW spiritual advisor.
New officers were installed and a closing Mass was celebrated by Bishop Joseph Hanefeldt, with Fr. David Rykwalder, Fr. Lou Nollette, Fr. Stephen Deaver and Fr. Thomas Vijumon concelebrating.
