Volunteers from St Mary’s Sweet Corn Project present check for $1,231 to Bishop Hanefeldt to the Diocese of Grand Island’s Pro-Life Office, for the “Moms-in-Need” Initiative. All funds raised from the sweet corn project are donated to charity. Other recipients of the funds raised this year were: St. Mary’s Cathedral Parish, St. Peter and Paul Parish in St. Paul, and “Growing Hope Globally”.
Growing Hope Globally is a Christian response to hunger, who link the grassroots energy and commitment of rural communities in the U.S. with the capability and desire of smallholder farmers in developing countries to grow lasting solutions to hunger. We partner with Catholic Relief Services through Growing Hope Globally.
