POSITION MISSION:
The Business Office Administrator is the steward of the financial resources of St. Teresa’s. The position is responsible for preparing the budget for approval, payment and receipt of funds, input of financial data into the data systems, production of reports for internal and external review, producing reports for the diocese and the state of Nebraska, paying taxes, and reporting to the accountants, sacramental record keeping and organizing of all contracts and physical assets of the parish.
REPORTS TO: Pastor and Executive Director
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
● BA Degree or higher.
● Has knowledge of and is comfortable with Catholic doctrine and practice.
● Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
● Ability to work flexible, project/event-driven hours and attend weekly staff meetings.
● Ability to prioritize, organize, and adhere to given budget and deadlines.
● Ability to lift 25 pounds.
● Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation. SKILLS & ABILITIES:

● Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite of programs, QuickBooks, Google workspace and eTapestry KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
● Coordination of the operational 3 year rolling budget and capital project budgeting processes, including development phase,
preparation, and administration of budget documents in conjunction with the pastor, executive director, finance committee.
● Oversight of the Center's financial records, including charitable contributions, weekly offering summaries, and specially designated
funds.
● Maintain all financial records according to standard accounting practices and diocesan policies, as well as state and federal laws.
● Routine reconciliation between fund development database and accounting systems.
● Processing all disbursements, including specially designated funds.
● Processing cash receipts for payment, making bank deposits, and handling day-to-day banking activities. Revised May 9, 2023
● Preparation of the payroll, as well as making pension and health insurance payments.
● Coordination between St. Teresa’s and the Diocese in financial and health insurance matters.
● Arranging for internal audits on a regular basis.

POSITION: Director of Campus Ministry

PRIMARY FUNCTION: Coordinates and facilitates various ministries and programs working to enhance the student’s academic experiences with equally compelling and meaningful spiritual and interpersonal experience in support of the Mission and core values of the St. Teresa of Calcutta Newman Center.
REPORTS TO: Executive Director
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
● Bachelor’s degree or higher
● Mind and heart for Roman Catholic doctrine, devotion, formation, and campus ministry
● At least 3 years experience in campus ministry and/or young adult ministry
● Ability to prioritize, organize, and adhere to given budget and deadlines
● Strong written, verbal, and digital communication skills
● Experience in internet, social media strategies, and web page management preferred.
● Ability to work flexible, project/event-driven hours and attend weekly staff meetings.
● Ability to lift 25 pounds.

● Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite of programs and Social Media Applications.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
● Creates, implements, and manages a comprehensive five-year Campus Ministry strategic plan, integrating key components such as a
SWOT analysis, defining objectives, setting goals, coordinating school and event calendars, align with annual fundraising and
marketing plan, and resource planning for the advancement of the Newman Center, its mission, vision, and core values.
● Create and manage the annual ministries’ calendar of events, retreats, speaker series and trips to maximize student involvement, avoid
conflicting events and to provide stream-lined intentional opportunities for spiritual growth. (i.e., event coordinator and liaison between
Newman Center, FOCUS, and resident program)
● Manage student groups by establishing student leader positions to support the strategic plan: define roles and provide training,
empowering, and coaching to maximize leader development and enhancing the student’s spiritual experience and growth across all
campus ministries.
● Create a culture of care within Newman Center so students feel known, heard, cared for, and loved. Helps to oversee Eucharistic
Adoration and provides resources for prayer, journaling, bible studies, prayer groups, discipleship and access to the sacraments and
promotes spiritual director outreach as needed. Implement programs.
● Coordinates student trips for missions, conferences, and travel events to include planning, obtaining approvals, managing all logistics,
preparing analytical, budgetary, and preparatory projects to ensure the effective execution and communication of travel events. (SEEK,
March for Life, etc.)
● Plans and coordinates retreats adhering to campus ministries’ strategic plan of retreat rotations and achieving ministerial objectives,
including the recruitment of retreat leaders, speakers, and students, logistics, and the evaluation and assessment of the retreats. (i.e.,
minimum of four retreats annually such as Father’s House, Emmaus retreat, Holy Spirit boot camp, etc.).
● Coordinates student welcome events at the start of the Fall (NSE, parish registrations, Blue and Gold, BBQ and carnival, etc.) for first
year and transfer students.
● Manages “Student Interest” tracking; contacts students who have made inquiries and makes initial communications or appropriate
referrals to FOCUS or other staff members. Serves as primary database manager for Students, mining and developing tools to increase
reach and participation in student ministries. Tracks spiritual growth of students and event participation using database or other tools.
● Coordinates Student activities, such as Community nights with student leaders and parish council for activities and hospitality at post-
Mass fellowships by helping with logistics, communications, event planning and provide direction and leadership as a regular presence.
● Coordinates RCIA activities by promoting, enabling, communicating, and/ or equipping men and women for the work of initiating
adults into the community and planning post- initiation inclusion events.
● Advocates and positively represents to the highest standard of ethics and in a professional manner St. Teresa of Calcutta Newman
Center and the Diocese of Grand Island.
● Promotes, trains, and complies with the Diocesan’s Safe Environment program.
● Performs additional duties as assigned by the Pastor.

Full time ministry position with benefits in Chadron, Nebraska. The director will develop, conduct and evaluate the programs of the Newman House of the Diocese of Grand Island to provide Catholic campus ministry for students at Chadron State College. The director will be accountable to the Director of Youth and Young Adult Ministry for the Diocese of Grand Island. The Director will be responsible for obtaining sacramental ministry and other aspects of pastoral care for Newman House programs as needed. The main objective of this position is to direct the campus ministry programming which will meet two critical objectives for the diocese:
Creating and implementing a vision which invites students, forms disciples and sends them on mission as they graduate from university.
Developing and fostering a culture which allows for a free ascent toward truth, goodness and beauty within the campus community.
These objectives will be met through the programming being centered around the 4 pillars of formation: human, spiritual, academic and apostolic. The director will lead a small student discipleship team that will serve as the leadership within the students. The director would be responsible for:
Ensure that the Newman Center maintains a culture of radical hospitality through various initiatives including coordinating the weekly Newman activities.
Setting the yearly vision of the Newman Center, with the assistance of the student discipleship council and Community Formation/Hospitality Coordinator.
Setting a plan of formation with the Diocesan Young Adult Director, UNK Chaplain and the community formation and hospitality coordinator.
Conduct relational ministry with students. Offer a presence and support for student activities and events on Campus. Oversee and lead a bible study/small group chain. Direct campus outreach efforts.
Develop and maintain a volunteer ministry team of local community members in various ministry roles with students.
Organize all the summer and welcome week programming to help new students connect with the Newman Center upon their arrival.
Organize and develop retreat schedule for the year, with assistance from the community formation coordinator and in coordination with the UNK Newman Center and Office of Young Adult Ministry.
Keep open communication with diocesan personnel and parish leaders in order to promote student involvement in ministry within the diocese.
Organize opportunities for student outreach and service to the local community and beyond.
Work with Collaborative CSC Campus ministries toward the common good of the religious and spiritual needs of all students
Maintain alumni and donor relations
Ensure that diocesan and administrative responsibilities are met:
Serve as the contact person for the Diocese with Chadron State College, as well the representative for student organizations and CSC activities
Implementation of diocesan policies as applicable, referring to the diocesan handbook as needed
Maintain proper budgetary controls over the CSC Newman house budget (purchases, payment of bills; reports to the diocese)
Maintain adequate program supplies and liturgical supplies for the chapel
Make sure the Newman Center property is well maintained throughout the calendar year by managing the student housekeeping and maintenance employees
