The Spirituality Year class from St. John Vianney Seminary in Denver made a pilgrimage to Sheridan County to visit the home parishes of Kaelob Marx and to celebrate the World Day of Prayer for Vocations with the parish communities. They spent the night at the Immaculate Conception rectory in Rushville. They prayed a Holy Hour, especially lifting up the parishioners and those discerning priestly vocations up to the Lord in the Blessed Sacrament. They attended the 8:30 Mass at St. Columbkille Parish in Hay Springs and enjoyed a meal and fellowship with the community afterward. All of the seminarians were extremely edified by and grateful for the hospitality shown to them. They also appreciated the scenic drive through the panhandle, stopping and seeing the sights along the way. They were all pleasantly surprised with their first visit to Western Nebraska and the Diocese of Grand Island.
